PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity by consisting the detector of a copolymer of at least one kind of specific diallyl carbonate monomers and at least one kind of diallyl sulfonate monomers. CONSTITUTION:The diallyl sulfonate monomers used in this copolymer are expressed by formula II. In formula, R<3> and R<4> are a divalent hydrocarbon group and may be the same or different. Preferable examples of these monomers are diethylene glycol bisallylsulfonate and di-n-propylene glycol bisallylsulfonate. The diallyl carbonate monomers which are the other one of the copolymer are expressed by formula I. In formula, R<1> and R<2> are a divalent hydrocarbon group and may be the same or different and the embodiments thereof are the same as for the above-mentioned R<3> and R<4>. The detector having the excellent sensitivity is obtd. by using the polymers formed by copolymerizing the monomers expressed by formula I and formula II.
