METHOD OF INNER COLLAR REMOVAL IN ELECTRICALLY WELDED TUBES WITH DIRECT SEAM AND DEVICE FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD

The internal burrs on electrically welded straight-seam tubes are removed by a multi-cutter tool which is fixed to a rod and carries e.g. four cutters at the same pitch and with cutting edges along a line parallel to the centre line. The body with the cutters is supported against the tube by three rollers. One rolls along a line opposite to the weld and has the contours of a cam disc. The other two rollers roll along the seam. One is spring loaded and mounted at the end of the body; the other is mounted at the opposite end and has a radius of (R-e), where R is the max. radius of the cam disc and e its eccentricity.
