PURPOSE:To obtain a device having a fast access function by writing information to be written on a header field on a magnetic disk with a signal of long wavelength, and enabling the information to be read out by either a write head or a read head. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head slider 1 is arranged on an arbitrary plane on a magnetic disk 3 with the spring constant of a load arm to mount the slider 1 and a floating interval decided by the rotating speed of the disk 3, etc. The write head 11 and the read head 12 are formed in parallel on the side plane of the slider 1 in a direction intersecting orthogonally to an information track formed on the disk 3, and they are formed integrally with a conductor 13 for drawing out an electrical signal. On the plane of the disk 3 corresponding to the positions of both heads 11 and 12 on the slider 1, corresponding information tracks A and B are formed by the access of the slider 1, respectively. Since the signal of the header field 41 can be read out by the write head 11, it is not required to read out the signal of the field 41 by the read head 12 at the time of writing new information on a data part 43, thereby, the fast access function of the device can be maintained. |
