The present invention relates to receiving and/or transmitting antenna mounted on a vehicle travelling along a fixed path, such as a rail vehicle, and communicating with an energy-transmission line with distributed losses, such as a radiating cable, mounted permanently along the said path. This antenna is particularly notable in that it consists of at least one section of energy-transmission line with distributed losses which is substantially identical to the energy-transmission line mounted along the said path, in that the said line section is arranged longitudinally on the vehicle, and in that the said line section is looped at one of its ends onto its characteristic impedance, its other end being connected to a receiving and/or transmitting apparatus carried by the vehicle.
