PURPOSE:To evaporate drain in a drain pan and make the discharge of the drain to the outside of a machine unnecessary, by a method wherein the level of the drain, reserved in the drain pan below the accumulator of an air- conditioning machine, is detected to energize a heating means. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant circuit, consisting of a compressor 1, a four-way changeover valve 3, a heat exchanger 2 not utilizing a water heat source, a valve 10, an accumulator 4 and the like which are connected through a refrigerant pipeline 6, is arranged in a heat exchanging unit 11 not utilizing the water heat source. A drain pan 18 is provided below the accumulator 4 while a heater 14 and a switch 15 for detecting the amount of drain are provided in the drain pan 18. In order to dispose the drain in this air-conditioning machine, the switch 15 is operated when a given amount of drain is reserved and the level of the same has exceeded a predetermined water level to evaporate the drain by the heater 14 and prevent the drain from overflowing the drain pan 18. |
