PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having excellent characteristics of high sensitivity, small residual potential and high durability by the excellent carrier generatability of a bisazo compd. by incorporating the bisazo compd. expressed by specific formula into the photosensitive layer formed on a conductive base of the electrophotographic sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The bisazo compd. expressed by general formula I is incorpo rated into the photosensitive layer formed on the conductive base. In this formu la, R1 and R2 respectively denote a halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, nitro group, cyano group or hydroxy group. R1 and R2 may respectively be the same or different. Further, X and Y respectively denote a hydrogen atom, substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group, substd. or unsubstd. arom. group or substd. or unsubstd. heterocyclic group; Z denotes an atom group necessary for forming a carbocyclic arom. ring or heterocyclic arom. ring. |
