PURPOSE:To suppress degradation of sensitivity in the process of repetive copying and to prevent degradation of the performance by an increase in residual potential by forming a photosensitive layer contg. a photoconductive material on a conductive base of the electrophotographic sensitive body and incorporating the styryl compd. expressed by the prescribed general formula into the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. the photoconductive material is formed on the conductive base of the electrophotographic sensitive body and the styryl compd. expressed by the general formula I is incorporated into the photosensitive layer. In the formula, Ar1 denotes a substd. or unsubstd. carbon ring group or substd. or unsubstd. heterocyclic group; R1 and R2 respec tively denote a hydrogen atom, substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group or unsubstd. phenyl group.
