摘要 PURPOSE:To attain data communication without securing the frequency band of a carrier on a repeater newly and to improve the band using efficiency of the repeater by transmitting data with changing an encoding rate when the data, which seldom executes a transmission, is generated. CONSTITUTION:Normally, when N channels, which are transmitting data 1-N, are sent, a communication is executed with making the encoding rate of a variable rate encoding circuit 13 1/2. On the other hand, when N+1 channels, which are the transmitting data 1-N+1, are sent, the encoding rate of the circuit 13 is made to be 7/8. Thus, information speed becomes 7/4, and a channel number, which can be time-division-multiplexed is increased. In this case, the power on a satellite is increased, and the guarantee of an error rate is executed. Consequently, the transmission of a large quantity of data can be executed without broadening the frequency band on a repeater, and the band using efficiency of the repeated is improved.
