<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the work load to the file update control by setting the emphasis display attribute which displays data with emphasis at an update information control area in a record and displaying the data with emphasis according to the emphasis display attribute. CONSTITUTION:A data update control mechanism 1 gives the commands for correction, addition and deletion as well as the character strings for correction and addition to an optional record from a data input/output device 7 under the control of an editor 4. Thus, the editor 4 gives the update contents operated to the record to an emphasis display attribute setting part 3 together with the record. The part 3 converts the update information into the emphasis display attribute and stores it in a update information control area 8. When a file updated by the mechanism 1 is displayed on a data display device 5, an empha sis display control part 2 decides the necessity of the emphasized display in accordance with the instruction of the emphasis display attribute of the area 8 and displays the record on the device 5.</p> |
