<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled small-sized apparatus having superior function at a low cost by attaching a means for feeding air or gaseous CO2 and a heating medium and a means for charging slaked lime to a tank body for holding aged NaOH. CONSTITUTION:Aged NaOH is injected from an injection pipe 22 until a tank body 28 is filled. By opening an on-off valve 29a and closing an on-off valve 30a, air or gaseous CO2 is blown into the tank body 28 at ordinary temp. through a main shaft 25 rotating through a rotary joint 31 and agitating vanes 26 to convert the aged NaOH into sodium carbonate. The valve 29a is then closed, and by opening the valve 30a, superheated steam is introduced from a steam introducing pipe 30 to boil the sodium carbonate soln. Slaked lime is charged into a container 21 made of a wire net, and the container 21 is slowly lowered in the tank body 28 to caustify the sodium carbonate. After finishing the caustification, the rotation of the shaft 25 is stopped, and the regenerated NaOH and by- product CaCO3 are taken out of outlets 23, 24, respectively.</p> |
