A blueprint device having an exposure device and for example a developing device, using a developing liquid, for the exposed paper is constructed in such a manner that the exposure device and the developing device operate independently of each other in dedicated housings and that in particular the exposure device is designed for the exposure of blueprint paper whose dimension is not larger than DIN A4 or folio format. The developing device of a blueprint device or a correspondingly small developing device, which is available in a design or drawing office anyway, can be used as developing device.
