The invention relates to an electrical switch, especially a steering column switch for motor vehicles. In the case of this switch, a metal sheet from which conductor tracks are stamped out is fixed in a base plate by extrusion coating. A moving contact link interacts with a plurality of contact sections in the conductor tracks. One conductor track has a contact section which is located at a distance from the base plate, and approximately parallel to it. In addition, a method is disclosed for producing such an electrical switch. According to this method, the contact section which is at a distance from the base plate is bent around, with the base plate, into the intended position, after the metal sheet has been extrusion coated.
