An electric toaster comprises at least one bread holder maintained in the toasting position by an electromagnet whose tripping device can be actuated both manually and electrically by a timer comprising a pulse-controlled counting stage. In order to actuate the counting stage, an oscillator comprising two programmable combined complementary transistors is connected, on the input side, to the charging circuit of a frequency-measuring capacitor and, on the output side, via the dividing point of a voltage divider, to a temperature-dependent resistor, at the clock-input of a counting stage. Said counting stage trips a switch in the circuit of the electromagnet, which co-operates with the switch lever. The electromagnet co-operates with a fastening anchor seated at one end of a forked catch which is pivotally mounted on the bread holder. The pivoting end of said catch co-operates with the switching lever of the bread holder. |
