PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of an optical disk and to reduce cost by using a film in which a low melting point, high-reflectivity material and a high melting point high absorptivity material coexist as a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The low melting point high-reflectivity material having 400-700 deg.C m.p. and >=50% reflectivity of light and the high melting point high absorptivity material having >=900 deg.C m.p. and >=50% absorptivity of light coexist in the thin film. For example, aluminum, aluminum-silicon alloy and aluminum- germanium alloy are used for the low melting point high-reflectivity material and, for example, silicon, germanium, carbon, germanium-silicon alloy, and aluminum-carbon compd. are used for the high melting point high absorptivity material. The durability of the optical disk is thereby enhanced and the cost is reduced simultaneously. |
