PURPOSE: To attempt simplification of handling operation by actuating a lock device for preventing the rotation of a drum so as to lock or unlock the drum. CONSTITUTION: A tripod has a tripod head 11 and three legs 12, 13, 14 that are pivotally fixed by a bolt nut assembly 15. The legs 12, 13, 14 are connected with each other by a spreader 20 comprising a flexible cable 21. The cable 21 is spooled onto a spring biased drum 22. This spring biasing force spools the cable 21 onto the drum 22, and a manually controllable lock device 23 positively prevents the rotation of the drum 22. When a lever 57 of finger actuation is rotated and a key portion 53 is released from teeth 54, the drum comes into a unlock state. |
