APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING INFORMATION

An apparatus to broadcast repetitively information relating to tourists attractions in an area such as a town. The apparatus has a data storage (3) on which the information in digital form is stored. A controller (13) connected between the storage and a digital to analogue converter (5) is used to controllably retrieve information from the storage for conversion to analogue form by the converter. A radio transmitter (11) at which the converted information signal is modulated with a carrier signal, is used to broadcast the modulated signal for reception by radio receivers.
