<p>PURPOSE:To surely execute a consecutive recording in a short time lag by setting the length of an overrun so that a position on a tape, in which a servo lock is established with an activation by means of a next picture-recording instruction, can be made to substantially coincide with the position in which the stop of the former picture recording is instructed or that the position can be after that in a tape traveling direction. CONSTITUTION:A traveling length L2 from a position A corresponding to a time when a trigger switch 52 is operated in the middle of recording a preceding video signal 10 up to a position D in which the drive stop of a capstan motor is instructed and the length of a reverse feeding 12 of the tape are set so that a position E of a servo lock establishment can be made to substantially coincide with the operation position A of the trigger switch in the middle of recording the preceding video signal 10. Consequently, a synchronization cannot be made turbulent to the video signal to be already recorded, and the next picture record ing can be started in a minimum tie from the instruction of the consecutive recording up to the servo lock establishment. Thus, the consecutive recording can be surely executed in a small time lag.</p> |
