<p>A multipurpose, multiposition reclining chair, changeable automatically by the action of a screw jack between a fully reclining position to an upright position for the user, comprises a back-rest, a seat and a foot-rest. The movements for displacement from one position to another are ensured by a rod assembly which interconnects the various elements and constitutes a plurality of kinematic linkages ensuring sequentially the various movements of the back-rest, the seat and the foot-rest, respectively. The chair comprises respectively: a foot-rest control assembly; a seat control assembly; a control assembly for the mechanism which positions the back-rest (1) and maintains said back-rest (1) upright, and which acts on a complementary false frame (3) of said seat. The foot-rest can be fully retracted in the intermediate seated and upright positions and lies in the prolongation of the seat and of the back-rest in the horizontal position. Application: reclining chairs for private and professional use.</p> |
