<p>PURPOSE:To prepare the titled compound having excellent stability and useful as a blood platelet coagulation inhibiting agent, a hypotensor, etc., from an easily available raw material, in high yield, by the dehydrohalogenation reaction of a novel 5-halo-7-hydroxyprostaglandin I2 compound. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula II (the configuration around the 7- position carbon atom is R and/or S), its 15-epimer, their enantiomer, or their mixture can be prepared easily, by dehalogenating the extremely effetively synthesizable novel compound of formula I [R<1> is H or 1-4C alkyl; R<4> is 4-8C alkyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, etc.; R<2> and R<3> are H, tri(1-7C hydrocarbon group)-silyl, etc.; X is halogen; dotted line is alpha-configuration; thick line is beta- configuration, the configuration around the 5-7 position carbon atoms are R and/or S] its 15-epimer, their enantiomer, or their mixture, and if necessary, removing the protecting groups and/or hydrolyzing the compound.</p> |
