PURPOSE:To enhance carrier genetability and to obtain a photosensitive body having high sensitivity, small residual potential and high durability by using the bisazo compd. expressed by the prescribed formula. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 4 of laminated constitution of a separated function type consisting of a carrier generating layer 2 contg. a carrier generating material and if necessary, a binder resin as a lower layer and a carrier transfer layer 3 contg. a carrier transfer material and a binder resin as an upper layer is provided on a conductive base or a base 1 formed by providing a conductive layer on a sheet. The photosensitive layer contains the bisazo compd. expressed by the formula I. In the formula I, R denotes a halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, nitro group, cyano group or hydroxy group; Z denotes an atom group necessary for forming a carbon cyclic arom. ring or heterocyclic arom. ring; Y denotes an atom group necessary for forming the formula II. |
