PURPOSE:To reduce torque ripple, by providing five or more odd numbers of armature poles having wirings of different phases. CONSTITUTION:A DC brushless motor having nine phases, eight poles and nine slots comprises a stator 1 and a rotor 2. The stator 1 comprises an armature having nine armature poles 3, which are provided with windings 4 to be excited through nine-phase power sources A-I. The rotor 2 comprises an eight-pole permanent magnet 5 and a rotor yoke 6 is fixed to the outer circumference thereof. Switching is controlled with single pole being considered as single phase. Consequently, smooth rotation is achieved at start or under low speed, resulting in smooth rotation control. |
