PURPOSE:To obtain the stable photographic characteristics such as the high max. and the low min. optical densities of the title material by incorporating a silver halide particle having at least two peaks of a particle size distribution curve and a magenta coupler shown by a specified formula in the green photosensitive layer of the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide particle which has at least two peaks of the particle size distribution curve and <=0.30mum of the peak in the curve of the particle having the min. particle size among the two peaks, and at least one kind of the magenta coupler shown by the formula are incorporated in the green photosensitive layer. In the formula, Z is nonmetal atomic group necessary for forming a nitrogen contg. heterocyclic ring, and a ring form by group Z, may contain substituting group, X is hydrogen atom. or a group capable of being released by a reaction with the oxidant of a color development main agent, R is hydrogen atom. or a substituting group. Ordinary, the compounding amount of the magenta coupler is preferably 1X10<-2>-8X10<-1>mol. per 1mol. of silver halide. |
