<p>A drug compsn. contains a protein-binding drug together with albumin as carrier, in the ratio (by weight) drug:albumin of 1-200:100 (pref. 5-200:100). A soln. of albumin and protein-binding drug in the proper proportion in a solvent (pref. water or water and a water-miscible organic solvent) (opt. together with a fatty acid or fatty oil, such as olive oil, soya oil, or a 8-30C fatty acid) is homogenised by stirring at high speed (pref. 5000-40000 rpm) and the solvent then distilled off.</p> |
