PURPOSE:To increase the life of a lead-acid battery by using Pb-Zn alloy powder as an active material. CONSTITUTION:Pb-Zn alloy powder containing 0.05-3.0% Zn by weight is used as an active material. This alloy powder alone or a mixture of this alloy powder with usual lead powder (a mixture of lead oxide powder and metallic lead powder) is used. The life of an industrial battery such as a power-peak saving battery and a vehicle power source battery is increased. |
