PURPOSE:To improve spalling resistance and corrosion resistance by utilizing three component-base composition as an aggregate in which a heat resistant material consisting of magnesia as a main component is blended with a heat resistant raw material consisting of alumina and spinel as the main component respectively. CONSTITUTION:The title monolithic refractory is produced by utilizing three component-base composition as an aggregate in which 0.1-10 pts.wt. preferably 1-8 pts.wt. heat resistant raw material consisting of (C) a magnesia-base raw material (substance incorporating extremely little impurities and having stable reactivity e.g., electromelting magnesia and seawater magnesia clinker) is blended with both (A) an alumina-base raw material, e.g., 5-95 pts.wt. preferably 15-85 pts.wt. heat resistant raw material consisting of high-temp. treated electromelting alumina having little impurities as a main component and (B) a spinel-base material, e.g., 95-5 pts.wt. heat resistant raw material consisting of high-purity electromelting spinel and sintered spinel as the main component at 100 pts.wt. total amounts of A and B. |
