PURPOSE:To obtain a molding having a lowered coefficient of linear expansion and excellent mechanical properties and processability, by mixing polyvinylidene fluoride with a polymer possessing melt anisotropy and polyvinyl acetate and molding the resulting mixture. CONSTITUTION:The title molding comprises 50-96wt.% polyvinylidene fluoride and 2-48wt.% polymer possessing melt anisotropy. Examples of said polymer possessing melt an isotropy include aromatic-aliphatic polyesters, wholly aromatic polyesters, aromatic polyazomethines and polyimide esters. A polymer which possesses melt anisotropy in a temperature range from the crystalline melting point (about 180 deg.C) of polyvinylidene fluoride to its thermal decomposition temperature (about 350 deg.C) can be suitably used as said polymer possessing melt anisotropy. |
