PURPOSE:To provide a clean combustion such as one with a low NOx, low NO2 and low CO etc. by a method wherein a catalyst belt having catalyst therein is fixed at the upper part of the surface combustion burner and the position of the catalyst in the catalyst belt is set at an upstream of the discharging gas of combustion. CONSTITUTION:Gas fuel injected from a nozzle 4 flows into the premixing surface combustion burner 14 along with the surrounding air, is dispersed and mixed together, and then combustioned at the surface over the flame holes in the cylindrical net 11. Upon completion of the combustion, the gas is flowed as the discharging gas of combustion and flowed over the catalyst 15 placed thereabove. Then, the discharging gas is smoothly mixed with the flow generated by the blower fan 17, heat exchanged with the outer cylinder 7 at the combustion burner 14 and blown out into the room as hot air from the blowing port 20. Then, it is possible to prevent a flow other than the discharging gas of combustion to the catalyst 15, eliminate a cooling of the catalyst, restrict an oxidation of NO and reduced NO and maintain the function of catalyst. |
