PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity of a circuit for converting setting a recording medium upside down by a method wherein a second upside down carrier means which carries the recording medium upside down to a direction almost perpendicular to a carrying direction a first upside down carrier means is provided. CONSTITUTION:When a recording medium is carried through a first upside down carrier path (a1-a2), carrier rollers 11, 12, 13 are lowered toward directions d1, d3 so as to carry the recording medium. Then in order to set the recording medium upside down in a direction b, the direction of carrier rollers 16-22 is shifted in a direction e1-e6 so as to carry the recording medi um. In other words, rollers 11-13 and 20-22 rise and rollers 16-19 descend. Thus, until the recording medium is detected by a photo sensor 26 from the first upside down carrier path, it is carried upside down through the second upside down carrier path by the rollers 16-19. Then, the recording medium is carried with its unrecorded surface facing downward through a carrier path 9 to have another image recorded. A flapper 24 can move so that it can lead the recording medium to a carrier path 10 and send it out to a stacker 7. |
