<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device and to improve the operability by discriminating the operation time of a fast forwarding key or a rewinding key to selectively set fast forwarding or rewinding accompanied with program search or not accompanied with program search. CONSTITUTION:Fast forwarding or rewinding accompanied with program search and mere fast forwarding or rewinding are distinguished in accordance with the time length of depression of an FF key 6 or an REW key 7 by a microcomputer 2. When the key 6 is depressed for 0.5sec or longer, mere fast forwarding is discriminated to set a tape mechanism 1 to the fast forwarding mode; but when it is depressed for <0.5sec, fast forwarding accompanied with program search is discriminated. In case of rewinding, the operation mode is set in accordance with the time length of depression of the REW key 7 similarly. With respect to discrimination of the time length of depression of keys 6 and 7, a counter is counted up while the key is depressed, and the time is recognized by the counted value at the time of release of the key, and prescribed control data is given to the mechanism 1 in accordance with the result. Thus, a tape player is miniaturized and the operability is improved.</p> |
