PURPOSE:To make it possible to clean a furnace wall and to control the combustion temperature in an incinerator through using a reducing gas, by mixing particles of completely incinerated ashes into a reducing gas for combustion and temperature control, thereby supplying the incinerated ash particles into an excessively high temperature combustion zone in the main body of the incinerator. CONSTITUTION:Incinerated ashes not smaller than a predetermined size are supplied through a chute 16 into a precipitation tank 20. On the other hand, when an excessively high temperature combustion zone is generated in the main body 1 of an incinerator, at least one of flow control valves 271-274 corresponding to the zone is opened, and a reducing gas is blown into the main body 1 through a passage 24 by a blower 33. The reducing gas is passed through the precipitation tank 20, which is disposed between reducing gas passages 32 and 24. Therefore, incinerated ash particles for cleaning which are not smaller than a predetermined size and are capable of being blown by the blast pressure are mixed into and conveyed by the reducing gas, and are blown into the main body 1 in a swirl flow. The incinerated ash particles collide against a powder being about to adhere to the inner surface of the furnace wall in a molten or semi-molten state, and separate the power from the inner surface. Simultaneously, the combustion temperature is restrained from rising, by the reducing gas blown in with a low oxygen concentration.
|
