PURPOSE:To improve the transplanting efficiency and rooting rate of the seedling, by sending out a tape of seedlings to be transplanted, at a prescribed pitch, with a comb-shaped nipper every several seedlings, cutting the tape and transplanting them with nippers. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of seedlings to be transplanted P are arranged in a row continuously at a prescribed pitch and held with tapes on both sides to prepare a tape of seedlings 10 and the tape is wound around the drum and placed on the table of the transplanter. The transplanter is driven and a seedling feeder of a comb shape with teeth at the same pitch as that of the seedling tape is used to pick up several seedlings from the tape. Then, the tape 10a between the top seedling and the next seedling is cut off with the cutter 15 and the top seedling is transplanted with the nipper 4. |
