发明名称 PRODUCTION OF THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having excellent color forming properties, favorable preservability of a developed coloring matter and low possibility of fogging, by dispersing one of an electron-donative dye precursor and an electron-acceptive compound in a wet-type system, and heat-treating the dispersed material at a temperature of 30-90 deg.C in the presence of a high molecular weight compound comprising a specified monomer unit. CONSTITUTION:A color former and a color developer are pulverized by wet-type dispersion in water. One of the color former and color developer thus dispersed is heat-treated in the presence of a high molecular weight compound for prevention of fogging. The high molecular weight compound may be, for example, a compound of general formula (I), wherein each of R1 and R2 is a sodium or potassium salt, or a compound of general formula (II), wherein R3 is methyl, R4 is tert-pentyl, sec-pentyl, tert-butyl, sec-butyl, propyl or the like. The molecular weight of the high molecular weight compound is 1,000-100,000, and the treating temperature is 30-90 deg.C. The dispersed liquid thus heat-treated is cooled to or below 30 deg.C, followed by mixing. In this case, a binder, an oil-absorptive pigment, a wax dispersion, a release agent, a water-resisting agent or the like may be added, if required.
