The method of mfg. an embossing cylinder and of embossing continuously thermoplastic film is as follows; (1) making a sheet of natural leather form with grain design, (2) coating liquid silicon- rubber on the grain surface, (3) making an embossing model by silicon-rubber valcanization, removing the embossing model from the leather (5) forming relief on a thermoplastic film surface, (6) turning the flat film into the tubular one, (7) processing over- embossing by heating and pressurizing of the film under the model, (8) vulcanizing a uniform thickness silicon-rubber blanket made on the embossing surface, and (9) attaching the blanket to the cylinder surface.
