PURPOSE:To suppress the decomposition of ethylene glycol thereby to suppress the denaturalization of an absorption solution and corrosion within the absorption type freezer by allowing the absorption solution including lithium halide and ethylene glycol to contain an additive consisting of at least a member or more selected from a group consisting of a urea compound, borate, molybdate or nitrate. CONSTITUTION:As an additive a urea compound includes a thiourea, borate includes lithium tetraborate, molybdate includes lithium molybdate, and nitrate includes lithium nitrate. Since the above described additive is contained in an absorption solution containing lithium halide and ethylene glycol, denaturalization of the absorption solution and corrosion thereof within the absorption type freezer are suppressed. Further, upon this occasion, in a case where the concentration of thiourea or the like added is too low, the suppression effect cannot be expected enough but at least 0.005wt.% of thiourea is required. Conversely, when the concentration of thiourea is too high, it cannot be dissolved completely and precipitation is generated and clearance corrosion is promoted. Therefore, it is desired that it does not exceed 0.1wt.%. |
