PURPOSE: To prevent distortion of a nozzle body when the nozzle is assemblied with a simple structure by limiting the axial force which can be applied to the nozzle body by the elastic deformation of a beam element when in use. CONSTITUTION: An elongated beam element 14 is forked at one end which has a pair of forks 15 for engagement with a stage portion 12 formed on a nozzle 10. The other end of the beam element 14 engages a reaction member 17 when in use. Intermediate the two ends, the element has an aperture 16 for receiving a threaded member 21 engaged with a cylinder head 11. The beam element 14 is formed from strip material, and the thickness, breadth and length thereof are carefully selected so that the beam element 14 is elastically deformed when clamped by a nut 22. Thus, it is possible to limit the axial load which can be applied to the nozzle body so that the body is not so sensitive to react when the nut 22 is clamped. |
