The present invention provides a yarn traversing mechanism which makes it possible to run an endless belt with several yarn guides attached thereto and at the same time to rotate a support holding said endless belt on the longitudinal axis of the endless belt and to thereby traverse the yarn. This traversing mechanism is so simplified and so easy of operation that it is suitable for high-speed package winding.
