A hanger for cameras and the like, which consists of a hanger string connected to a swivel pivotally mounted on a ear piece integrally secured to the camera body and the like. A guide member is mounted on the swivel for retaining the swivel in such an angular position relative to the ear piece that the swivel may provide its maximum tensile strength.
