PURPOSE:To avoid the connection between POS terminals having different types of system information by providing a means to a terminal controller to compare various types of system information received from the POS terminals with the system information of its own. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 31 of a terminal controller sends a request to a POS terminal connected newly for transmission of the system information and compares the received system information with that set at a system information setting memory of an RAM 33. When coincidence is obtained between both system information, the terminal controller decides a POS terminal that can be controlled by the terminal itself. While a system unmatching command is sent to a relevant POS terminal in case even a single noncoincident one exists among those system information. At the same time, a system unmatching state is displayed on a CRT display device 39 and transmission service is discontinued to the displayed POS terminal. |
