PURPOSE: To correctly perform steering even when a main control device fails by supplying fluid of a fluid storage power sub-system to an auxiliary control device when the main control device of a fluid operated steering device in a ship, boat, or the like fails. CONSTITUTION: As failure of a main control device is detected, a solenoid of a solenoid valve 50 is connected to a selector, and the selector moves from an off-position. The solenoid valve 50 is thus opened to allow flow of pressure fluid of a fluid storage power sub-system from a duct 34 to a direction control duct 54 and a bypass duct. The duct 54 is connected to an electric operation direction control valve 58, and it introduces fluid to a proper part of an auxiliary control device to enable left rotation or right rotation operation. The duct 56 is connected to an electric bypass control valve 60, the bypass control valve 60 introduces fluid to the auxiliary control device, and the main control device is isolated from a steering device 10. |
