PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive battery with long discharge duration and suppressed initial high voltage by austenite stainless steel SUS 316 or SUS 316L for a positive electrode current collector. CONSTITUTION:An element cell 5 is constituted of a negative electrode 4 mainly made of lithium and lithium alloy, a positive electrode 2 mainly made of iron disulfide and an electrolyte layer made of fused salt and provided between the negative electrode 4 and the positive electrode 2. A heating agent 1 is mainly made of potassium perchlorate, a positive electrode current collector 8 is made of austenite stainless steel SUS 316 or SUS 316L. Corrosion-resistant positive electrode current collectors 8 are laminated in sequence between element cells 5 and heating agents 1, they are stored in a case 9 for use as a thermobattery. The deterioration of the positive electrode active material is thereby prevented by the inexpensive current collector with a high corrosion resistance capability, the utilization factor is improved, and the initial potential can be reduced. |
