PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and degree of coincidence of temp. dependence of a silver halide photographic sensitive material by proceeding a particle forming stage in the presence of a specified compd. and proceeding a chemical sensitization stage in the presence of a compd. selected from compds. which form an Ag ion complex having a solubility product below a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide particles having >=95mol.% AgCl content are incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer, and a particle forming stage of the silver halide particles is proceeded in the presence of a compd. expressed by formula I. A chemical sensitization stage is proceeded in the presence of at least one compd. selected from compds. which form Ag ion complex having <=1X10<-11> solubility product (Ksp). In formula I, each Z1 and Z2 is an atomic group necessary for forming an oxathiazole nucleus, thiazole nucleus, etc., naphthoimidazole nucleus, or quinoline nucleus; each R1 and R2 is alkyl group, or alkenyl group, etc.; X<-> is an anion; (l) is 0 or 1. Thus, the sensitivity and the degree of coincidence of temp. dependence when it is exposed to light are improved. |
