发明名称 MELTING METHOD FOR FERRUGINOUS COLD CHARGE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent contamination of a molten iron by a sulfur component and to suppress erosion of lining refractories by operating the supply rate of auxiliary materials to maintain the basicity prior to tapping in a specific range at the time of melting a ferruginous cold charge and forming the high-C molten iron. CONSTITUTION:The ferruginous cold charge such as scrap, cold pig and iron ore as well as a carbonaceous material, auxiliary materials and oxygen are supplied into a converter which is made of a basic refractory lining structure and in which a seed hot metal exists. The ferruginous cold charge is melted in said converter and the high-C molten iron is obtd. The basicity prior to tapping is adjusted to 1.1-1.4 by operating the supply rate of the auxiliary materials such as quicklime, limestone, soft-burned dolomite, green dolomite, and fluorite. The contamination of the molten iron by the sulfur component of the molten iron is thereby suppressed and the erosion of the refractories at the time of tapping is decreased without making the special coating operation. Slag discharge is executed without discharging the seed hot metal.</p>
