PURPOSE:To efficiently and errorlessly execute conversion work by selecting the title of a conversion method in accordance with the selected contents of an information source based upon an information source selecting means and then executing conversion work. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with an information source selecting means 22 for selecting a required information source from plural information sources 21, a converting procedure storing means 23 for storing the procedures of plural converting methods for these information sources, a title display means 24 for displaying the titles of these information sources 21 a title selecting means 25 for selecting a required title from these titles, a transferred destination selecting means 27 for selecting a required transferred destination from plural transferred destinations 26, and a converting means 29 for converting data stored in a data storing means 28 by a converting method corresponding to the selected title. The converted data are transferred to the transferred destination selected by the means 27. Consequently, a file can be simply replaced and file conversion can be executed without considering the state of the transferred destination.
