摘要 <p>PURPOSE:When vegetables or food products are packed and sealed tightly, a high water-absorption polymer is placed in the package to avoid the formation of condensed water and excessive humidity, thus keeping the vegetables or food products fresh for a long time. CONSTITUTION:Vegetables or food products are packed together with about 0.01-40wt%, based on the vegetables or products, of a high water-absorption polymer such as a substance that is insoluble in water and can absorb water over 30 times its self weight, e.g., a self-crosslinking polyacrylate salt, with a film such as polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polycarbonate. The combination of a gas-absorbing agent such as reduced iron dust and/or a carbon dioxide generator such as calcium carbonate or lithium bicarbonate in an amount of about 0.01-10% based on the food product can increase the storage effect.</p>
