The certificate of addition application relates to fluid or mechanical pressure sensors which make it possible to provide information on an overpressure or an underpressure which should not be passed through. It consists of a casing 1 having a fastening orifice 15, in the bottom of which is situated a seal 17 and a valve flap return member 16. A diaphragm 2, stressed by a pressure applied to its lower face, moves the piston 14 which compresses the granulated carbon 10, thus altering its resistance to the passing of an electric current which arrives through the wires 5 welded on to the metal diaphragms 4, which contain, by means of a 4-lobed O-ring 11 on to which they are bonded, the carbon granules 10. The spring 12 makes it possible both to adjust the pressure under the diaphragm 2 and to return the piston 14 downwards, which piston has its upward travel limited by a spacer 13. A support 8, against which the upper diaphragm 4 is bonded, comprises an O-ring 9 which makes it possible to block a fluid which finds a passage through possible damage to the diaphragm 2; a groove 7 makes it possible, by screwing, to bring the pallet 4.10.11 closer to the piston 14. The wires 5 are held by a drop of adhesive 6 at the extremity of an orifice. Amongst the most advantageous applications of this device, mention may be made of remote monitoring of the pressure in tyres, spare wheel and rotating wheels of motor vehicles by an appropriate system. <IMAGE>
