PURPOSE:To considerably increase critical current density, by exposing materials containing superconductive substances to a static magnetic field in a state of superconduction below critical temperature to separate superconductive substances from the materials. CONSTITUTION:Whole of the superconductive substance separation system, comprising an electromagnet 11 having a gap 10 therein, a raw powder blowoff port 12, a superconductive substance recovery duct 13, and a powder recovery duct 14, is kept below the critical temperature of superconductive substance to be separated. Under such conditions, raw powders of superconductive substance are blown off together with a carrier gas toward the gap 10 from the blowoff port 12, while a static magnetic field is being applied to the gap 10 by means of the electromagnet 11, whereby the superconductive substances are lifted upward by Meissner effect, with the result that the raw powders are separated into superconductive substances and non-superconductive substances. The superconductive substances thus separated are recovered through the duct 13. In this manner, powders of superconductive substances of high purity can be obtained, so that critical current density can be considerably increased. |
