PURPOSE: To obtain a seamless composite tube having high reliability by winding a resin impregnated fiber material on a mandrel which includes an inflatable bladder, inserting the mandrel into a mold, pressurizing the bladder to press the fiber material outward, urging it on an inner wall of the mold, molding it, and heating to cure the fiber material in the mold. CONSTITUTION: A composite material 90 is wound on a mandrel 12 having an inflatable bladder 36, and then inserted in a female carbon mold 14. After the insertion is finished, a pressurized air is supplied into the bladder 36, the material 90 is urged to an inner wall of the mold 14, and molded. The material 90 in the mold 14 is cured via a suitable step. After a tube 16 is cured, the mold 14 is removed from an oven, and cooled to an environmental temperature. The tube 16 cured by cooling of the mold 14 can be easily removed from the mold. |
