PURPOSE:To detachably provide a display substrate with respect to a drive substrate by once soldering the light emitting element and a male connector of the display substrate to the substrate while maintaining them in a predetermined attitude, and soldering the connecting pins of the connector only at their roots. CONSTITUTION:A display substrate 11 is electrically connected to a drive substrate 35 by connecting a male connector 13 to a female connector 36. When a control signal is supplied from an exterior to the substrate 35 in an electric sign display device of this construction, the signal from the drive circuit of the substrate 35 is transmitted through the connectors 36, 13 to the substrate 11, and LEDs 12 emit lights to display a predetermined character or a pattern, etc. If the LED 12 and the drive circuit is malfunctioned so that the substrate 35 is required to be isolated, clamps of the attachment plate 30 of the substrate 35 is removed, and mechanically and electrically isolated by pulling the substrate 35 toward the other face 35b. |
