PURPOSE:To expedite the phase response, by controlling the phase of an inverter based on the signal to indicate the phase difference due to the effective current or power and on the waveform shaping output of the voltage on the output side of a reactor. CONSTITUTION:In a power device the 1st power device 2a is arranged on the left of a load 1 and the 2nd power device 2b is arranged on the right. This power device 2a contains an inverter device 3a, which is connected to the load 1 through a smoothing circuit composed of a reactor 4 and a capacitor 34 and also through an AC switch 5. A current detector 11 and a voltage detector 12 are arranged between the reactor 4 and the load 1, detecting the effective are reactive current components of the output current of an inverter 3 with effective and reactive current detection circuits 13...14.
