PRINTING INSPECTION INSTRUMENT USING INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE:To automate the inspection of all printing patterns on a rapid production line by previously inputting the image data of an excellent article to be inspected by the same method as the input of image data of an article to be inspected in case of forming reference data. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed character code is printed on an article A to be inspected successively flowing on a carrier machine C at the time of its passing under an inject printer 1 and an image pickup camera 2 inputs an image projected by an illuminating means 5 when the article A arrives just under the camera 2. The image is converted into an electric signal and sent to a processor main body 3 and the processor main body 3 quantizes the electric signal, executes various operation, finally decides whether the article is an excellent article or a defective article, and outputs the decided result to a distributer 4. The reference data is formed by previously inputting the image data of an excellent article to be inspected by the same method as the input of the image data of the article. Consequently, automatic printing inspection using an ink jet printer can be attained.
